I have been trying to keep up with all the Fashion shows in NY this week and while some of the designers are way out there, I love some of the new spring 12 items showing up...especially RL. Some classy 1920 inspiration is surely going to be a hit.

The cateye is a great way to add flair and seduction to any look without the overkill of trying too hard. However, when using this makeup method, application is everything. There is a fine line between the perfection of the cateye and the mismatched wing tips that make you wish you had J-Lo’s makeup artist on speed dial. But don’t fear because with a few simple steps you can achieve the perfect cateye in no time. First, you have two options of eye liner to choose from which are, liquid liner and pot liner. If you opt for the liquid liner it is best to choose a liner that has a short tip. The shorter the tip, then the more control you can have during application. Second, start from the inner corner of your eye, gently gliding the liner as close to the lash line as possible, and then stroke the liner in an upward motion at the outer corner of your eye. It is important when doing this application to apply the liner as close to the lash line as possible in order to get a natural-looking effect. Keep hope because you are almost there. Now, examine your work. Do you have that come-hither look that you were aiming for or do have the dreaded uneven wings on your eyes? If you have achieved a less than desired look just use a q-tip to sweep the liner in an upward motion to even out the wings on your eyes. And for those who would like to take this look a step further feel free to add a colored eye-liner such as, blue, green, or purple which has been a major trend on the runways and red carpets this season. Great advice
1: Drink three litres of water a day. Sounds like a lot, but Elle says it's easy if you do it in batches of six 50cl bottles, strategically placed and timed. Put two in your handbag, one by the bed, one for when you're brushing your teeth and that leaves you with only two more to fit in during the day. Easy.
2: Seven hours sleep a night. "My weight fluctuates now I'm getting older and I've discovered that sleep is highly under-rated, it's old fashioned but it seems to help regulate everything."
3: Exfoliate. "I have a mitt and I have a Double Duty Scrub from my own range and I scrub my whole body, every bit, because it's so good for detoxing and circulation. Then I moisturise. A make-up artist in Los Angeles recently gave me a hot tip, and suggested I use Revlon Colorstay foundation on my body. I said, "Look, I don't have to use Revlon for everything just because I'm the new face!" but that's not why he was using it at all, and when he smothered it on my arms, and decolletage I could see it gave the most phenomenal body coverage. I use it all the time now."
Sadly the new Revlon Age Defying with DNA Advantage won't somehow transmit Elle's DNA to magically transform, but with a high SPF (20) and a smooth, soft texture that slides easily onto the skin, the finish is incredible and we'll be coming back for more.
